Allied Grape Growers has been in existence since 1951 with decades of proven leadership in the California wine industry. Our years of successful operations have allowed us to build and maintain key relationships with growers and buyers statewide.
Allied Grape Growers (AGG) is a grower-owned winegrape marketing association. In short, we sell winegrapes to buyers of all kinds throughout California. We represent approximately 500 grape growers, performing the task of negotiating for the sale of their grapes on their behalf.
Allied Grape Growers is grower-owned and operated, always keeping the best interest of our growers in mind, and always presenting growers with fair and valuable market information.
Allied Grape Growers negotiates, reviews, oversees, and enforces the contractual interests of our growers regarding grape purchase agreements.
Allied Grape Growers has a continual presence in the marketplace selling to nearly 200 different buyers and having ongoing communications with hundreds more annually.
Allied Grape Growers provides a knowledgeable and experienced field staff to advise on viticulture practices and provide members with pertinent market information.
Allied Grape Growers markets everything from premium coastal wine grapes to San Joaquin Valley concentrate grapes. This provides access, exposure, leverage and continuous grape marketing year-round.
Allied Grape Growers has a timely payment schedule for members – 90% on the first Friday following 45 days after delivery and the balance in mid-February, following harvest.
Allied Grape Growers is governed by a seven member Board of Directors that is elected from regions throughout the state.
As you will see from the following biographies, many of Allied Grape Growers’ staff are people who come from grape growing backgrounds. There are no better people to serve the owners (growers) of a grape grower cooperative than those that have grape growing experience themselves, knowing firsthand the challenges that growers face.
